ADVENT 2011 SWCOB

 

 

Sunday, November 27 - 3:00 pm Hanging of the Greens

Come help decorate our beautiful church for Christmas!

 

Saturday, December 3 - Christmas Teddy Bear Tea 10:30 am

Admission is a teddy bear or cash donation for Allen Child Protection Center. 

 Guest speaker will be Angie Fuller.  Invite your friends and neighbors!! 

 

Sunday, December 4 – Let’s Go A Caroling   
We’ll meet at the church at 3:00 p.m. to get into groups to go caroling.   When we’re done, we’ll meet back at the church for a light meal and a time of fellowship.

 

Orange Elementary: Wednesday, December 7th - The Orange Choir will be performing at 9:30 am at the church.  Contributions of small candy bars and/or Christmas candy would be welcome so each of the 52 carolers can get a goodie bag.  Have candy here by Sunday, Dec. 4th.  Thanks!

Sunday, December 18 - 10:15 am Children's Christmas Program 

"Christmas Step by Step" will be performed during the morning worship service. 

 

 

 

December 24th

      Candlelight Christmas Eve Service

6:30 p.m.

 

 

Sunday, December 25th - Chancel choir will present a cantata during the morning worship at 10:15 am entitled "Mary, Did You know". 

(No Sunday school on Christmas Day)

 

 

 December 31 –
      New Year’s Eve “Walk-In” Communion

5:00 – 7:00 p.m. 
       Come for a time of quiet reflection and partake in the bread and cup

 

 

 

 

Act of Kindness Tree will be located by the Communiations Desk.  This "tree" will offer a variety of ideas/suggestions of ways each of us can share an act of kindness or help spread a little joy this Advent season.

You can order for $11 this year. 

  

Choose between red, white, or red with white spots.  Order by Sunday, December 4th.  Sign up sheet is on the Communications Desk or call the office at 232-3125.                       
 

MITTEN TREE for hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, snow pants, sweatpants, socks, or boots will be located in the Conference Lounge.  Plans are for these items to be shared with Orange School, Salvation Army, and House of Hope.
